The Mission: Impossible - Fallout Super Bowl Trailer Is Loaded With Eye-Popping Action

There are very few 90s movie franchises that have flourished with age, but Mission: Impossible is certainly one of them. We are now 22 years removed from Brian DePalma's original, but still the series continues to pump out exciting new chapters. Now, thanks to the Super Bowl, we have our first ever look at the latest, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, and it looks incredibly exciting.

The movie marks the first time that one director has helmed two different features in the Mission: Impossible franchise, but Christopher McQuarrie rocked it with Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, and now it looks like he's delivering one hell of an action spectacle with Mission: Impossible - Fallout. Returning stars include Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Alec Baldwin, and Michelle Monaghan, but we are equally excited to see a lot more from series newcomers Henry Cavill and Angela Bassett. Though it also helps that the impossible mission this time out is one that the IMF team can't seem to complete.

From the looks of Mission: Impossible - Fallout's first trailer, Ethan Hunt and the IMF team have failed a particularly important mission in Berlin - one that has some weapons grade plutonium on the street. So the "Fallout" in the title isn't just a cute way of letting us know the team failed miserably. Now, it's up to Ethan and his team to unscrew the mess that they've fallen into, and worse, it looks like Rebecca Ferguson's Ilsa has flipped back to the side of The Syndicate, putting her in the crosshairs of IMF agents she had assisted in Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. It's ok though, because newcomer Henry Cavill is now part of the IMF team, and he's got a mustache and gatling gun skills to help save the day.

With the IMF and the CIA joining forces, whether they like it or not, Mission: Impossible - Fallout has some new players, and some new scenery. And, of course, there's some insane action that'll push the Mission: Impossible franchise to a new level of excitement. Between rooftop jumps, chicken games between a helicopter and a truck, and Tom Cruise climbing onto said helicopter while still in flight, the series is clearly like Cruise himself -- looking for the next jaw-dropping practical stunt that'll make moviegoers hold their breath in disbelief.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout, should you choose to accept it, hits theaters on July 27. This story will self-direct in five seconds... unless you head over to our 2018 release schedule.

They showed a lot of high quality stunts & f*ght scenes, there better be a lot more in the movie because I hated to have movies show me everything in the trailer. The trailer was fu*king fantastic btw, it's looking like this movie will move the story along for the first time since MI3.
